- The Essentials: Polyester fiberfill stuffing, a tapestry needle, black embroidery thread (for the face!), stitch markers, and sharp scissors.
How the Magic Happens
This pattern is cleverly worked flat as a textured rectangle using Half Double Crochet (HDC) in the back loops. Once your rows are done, you simply fold the work in half, slip stitch the edges together to form a tube, gather the bottom, stuff it, and gather the top!
The stem is crocheted separately with a brilliant technique that pulls the working loops neatly through the centre of a magic ring, giving it a beautifully secure, professional finish.
